Peugeot unveils facelifted 408 with new lighting and powertrains

Peugeot has unveiled an updated version of the 408, a model that combines a fastback silhouette with SUV-style design features. This update brings new front and rear styling in line with the recently facelifted 308.
The most noticeable changes are to the front, where the 408 now features Peugeot's latest split-light design, complete with three-claw daytime running lights positioned high on the grille. At the rear, the 408 becomes the first Peugeot to feature fully illuminated 'PEUGEOT' lettering spanning the tailgate. A new exclusive Flare Green paint finish is also available.

The 408 continues to be offered with a choice of three powertrains. These include the E-408, which is fully electric and has a 58 kWh battery with a claimed WLTP range of 283 miles; a plug-in hybrid variant; and a mild hybrid option. The car is built in Mulhouse, France.

Inside, updates include a refreshed digital dashboard and new interior materials. The model retains its distinctive Peugeot i-Cockpit, featuring a small steering wheel and driver-focused layout.
With this facelift, the 408 aims to maintain its position as a distinctive alternative in the crowded C-segment, competing against more conventional hatchbacks and SUVs.
