The custom automotive fabricators at Ringbrothers chose the prestigious stage of The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering, to unveil their latest and most ambitious project: a 1971 Aston Martin DBS named "Octavia." This project, which is the company's first Aston Martin and debut at Monterey Car Week, represents a new pinnacle of their capabilities. It consumed over 12,000 hours of meticulous engineering and craftsmanship.

The transformation of this British motoring icon into a fully modern, carbon-fiber-clad performance machine is nothing short of remarkable. Although the donor car was a 1971 DBS, the resulting vehicle is a complete reimagining. The original William Townsend silhouette is honored, but the bodywork is now more chiseled and pronounced, crafted entirely from carbon fiber.

Significant structural modifications were undertaken to enhance aesthetics and performance. The track was widened by eight inches in the front and ten inches in the rear, creating a muscular, Coke-bottle curvature. The wheelbase was extended, moving the front wheels forward by three inches. A custom Roadster Shop FAST TRACK chassis underlies the build and is complemented by a fully integrated structural cage for maximum rigidity.

This Aston Martin represents a new pinnacle of their capabilities, consuming over 12,000 hours of engineering and craftsmanship.

OCTAVIA is powered by a Ford Performance 5.0-liter V8 engine topped with a 2.65-liter Harrop Performance supercharger. Mated to a six-speed manual transmission, the powertrain produces a formidable 805 horsepower in its street tune.

The Fox RS SV fixed-valve coilovers and custom Ringbrothers-machined upright arms handle the vehicle's handling. The car's stopping power comes from custom 14-inch Brembo brake rotors, which have six-piston calipers in the front and four-piston calipers in the rear. The one-off, three-piece, center-lock wheels were designed in collaboration with Ragle Design and HRE as an homage to the original DBS.

The car's details are meticulously executed with a BASF Glasurit Double-0 Silver finish and Nuclear Olive Green accents. All trim and brightwork are milled from billet aluminum or 3D-printed in stainless steel. The interior continues this theme with a carbon-fiber dashboard, pleated leather, and extensive stainless steel details, including machined brass door handles. The car also features a suite of advanced cameras and is the first road car equipped with Gentex Corporation’s auto-dimming visors.

Playful details nod to the car's name, including custom valve covers machined to accept emblems that read "Aston Martini," complete with a dipstick handle fashioned into a martini glass.

The OCTAVIA stands as a testament to state-of-the-art fabrication, blending American muscle with British sophistication and setting a new standard for the restomod genre.
