Just a few months after the launch of the all-electric C-Class, Mercedes-Benz has given the C-Class with a combustion engine an extensive facelift. The saloon and estate models feature a sleeker front-end design in the style of the S-Class, including an illuminated grille, star-pattern headlights and redesigned rear lights.

Inside, the C-Class utilises the latest MB.OS operating system, including an AI-powered virtual assistant capable of handling complex conversations and remembering details. The infotainment system features navigation based on Google Maps and supports over-the-air updates. A new Burmester sound system with Dolby Atmos is available as an option and two new upholstery colours are on offer.
The engine range comprises further-developed four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines with mild-hybrid technology, as well as plug-in hybrids with an electric range of up to 100 km. The C 400 e 4MATIC plug-in hybrid delivers 395 hp.

Orders open on 18 August, with prices starting at €48,844 including VAT in Germany. The updated C-Class offers a familiar choice for buyers who are not yet ready for a fully electric car, whilst at the same time incorporating technology from the brand's larger models.
