Jeep unveils the all-electric 2026 Recon: a trail-rated force with 650 hp

Jeep is set to electrify its off-road legacy with the launch of the 2026 Jeep Recon, the first fully electric SUV to earn the brand's prestigious 'Trail Rated' badge. This new model promises to deliver the rugged performance that Jeep is renowned for, but with the instant torque and silent operation of an electric powertrain. Production is set to begin early next year, with global expansion - including into European markets - starting in late 2026.
Engineered for serious performance, the Recon boasts 650 horsepower and 840 Nm of instant torque. This enables it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds. Despite its performance, the Recon is estimated to achieve a range of up to 450 kilometres on a single charge, making it suitable for both long adventures and daily commutes.

True to Jeep's open-air heritage, the Recon features a unique design that enables the doors, rear quarter windows and rear glass to be removed without tools. It also incorporates the brand's exclusive Selec-Terrain traction management system with dedicated off-road modes, ensuring it can handle everything from rocky paths to sandy dunes with confidence.
Blending a rugged, purpose-built interior with cutting-edge technology, the Recon features a large, 14.5-inch central touchscreen and over 170 standard safety features.
Jeep aims to demonstrate that electrification and extreme off-road capability can coexist.
