McLaren unveils final evolution of 720S supercar series with 788HS

The 788HS marks the definitive conclusion of the supercar lineage that began with the 720S and evolved through the 765LT and 750S. Production is limited to 200 vehicles globally, split equally between coupé and spider variants.
The 788HS is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 777 bhp and 800 Nm of torque. With a dry weight of 1,265 kg, it boasts an impressive power-to-weight ratio of 614 bhp per tonne - the highest in the series. Performance figures include a 0-60 mph time of 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 330 km/h.

The 'High Sport' designation has only appeared twice before in McLaren's history, on the MP4-12C HS and the MSO HS. The 788HS features the most advanced aerodynamic package ever applied to this platform and includes an S-duct bonnet, a raised active rear spoiler and an F1-inspired rear diffuser. Downforce is increased by 10 per cent over the 765LT.
The chassis sits 5 mm lower at the front than the 750S and features Proactive Chassis Control III suspension with bespoke tuning. The car's carbon ceramic brakes are derived from the Senna and centre-lock wheels are introduced to this supercar series for the first time.

Every car can be personalised through McLaren Special Operations, with optional full visual carbon fibre bodywork available. The interior features a lightweight carbon fibre centre console and bespoke HS branding.
For European buyers, the 788 HS represents the final opportunity to own the ultimate evolution of McLaren's critically acclaimed supercar series. Deliveries are expected to begin later this year.
