BMW has confirmed the end of the Z4 roadster era, announcing a Final Edition model that will be the last of its kind. Production of the Z4 is scheduled to end in March 2026 at the Magna Steyr factory in Austria.
The Final Edition is a fitting farewell for the two-seater. It features a unique Frozen Matt Black paint option, red interior stitching, and other distinctive design elements. This special trim will be available for all engine variants, ranging from the base sDrive20i to the high-performance M40i with a six-cylinder engine.
Customers will have a brief window to order the Final Edition starting in late January 2026. The special package adds €4,200 to the price for most models.
The Final Edition marks the end of the third generation of the Z4, first introduced in 2018. As no successor model has been announced, this signals the end of BMW's iconic open-top sports car.
