McLaren and Racing Unleashed launch cutting-edge motion simulator for hardcore sim racers
McLaren Racing has teamed up with the specialist in high-end simulations, Racing Unleashed, to create the McLaren Racing Motion Simulator. This premium rig is designed to deliver near-authentic Formula 1 driving dynamics. Now available for purchase, the system blends real-world motorsport engineering with advanced sim racing technology and even comes with a replica MCL38 F1 steering wheel.
Carbon fibre chassis: Lightweight and rigid, just like the F1 cars produced by McLaren.
3DOF Motion System: Provides pitch, roll and heave movement for realistic G-force simulation.
Active seatbelts: Tighten under braking to mimic real-world forces.
MCL38 Wheel Replica: The same wheel that Lando Norris uses, complete with authentic controls.
McLaren Racing Liveries: Choose from the classic papaya orange livery or other team-inspired designs.
Developed in Maranello, Italy - yes, right in the heart of Ferrari country - the simulator has already earned a permanent spot at the McLaren Technology Centre’s Shadow Studio, where the Formula 1 team’s eSports drivers train.
Unlike consumer-grade rigs, this system was engineered with direct input from McLaren’s Formula 1 technical team to ensure the physics and feedback match real-world dynamics. While no official price has been announced yet, given its carbon construction and F1-grade components, it is expected to cost far more than mainstream sim rigs.
