Mazda has unveiled the third-generation CX-5, representing a significant evolution of its best-selling crossover. Due to arrive in European showrooms by late 2025, the new CX-5 builds on Mazda’s acclaimed KODO design language and Jinba-Ittai driving dynamics while offering enhanced comfort, technology and connectivity to meet the needs of today's drivers.

Since its launch in 2012, the CX-5 has become Mazda’s most popular model, with over 4.5 million sold worldwide. Renowned for its athletic styling, responsive handling and premium craftsmanship, the CX-5 has amassed a devoted fanbase. The latest model refines this formula with the development theme of 'New Generation Emotional Daily Comfort', prioritising both driving pleasure and everyday usability.

Evolved design and driving experience

The new CX-5 has the signature Soul of Motion aesthetic, with sleeker proportions and a more sophisticated presence. The cabin is optimised for space and refinement, offering improved ride comfort and noise insulation.
Mazda's renowned Jinba-Ittai philosophy remains central. Engineers have refined the chassis, suspension and steering to deliver responsive yet composed handling.

The all-new Human Machine Interface (HMI) introduces an intuitive infotainment system, with expanded app integration and seamless smartphone connectivity. Enhanced Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) elevate safety.

The European-spec CX-5 features a 2.5L e-SKYACTIV G petrol engine paired with Mazda's M Hybrid mild hybrid system, improving fuel efficiency without compromising performance. A six-speed automatic transmission (SKYACTIV-DRIVE) ensures smooth power delivery.

The all-new CX-5 will launch in Europe by the end of 2025, followed by other markets in 2026. Mazda's vision is to deliver the "Joy of Driving" through design and technology.
