Genesis unveils G90 Wingback concept, hinting at future luxury wagons

Genesis has unveiled the G90 Wingback Concept, a sleek, estate-car interpretation of its flagship saloon. The concept car was unveiled in France alongside the new GV60 Magma to mark the brand's 10^(th) anniversary.

Built on the same platform as the existing G90 saloon, the Wingback Concept features a stretched fastback roofline and a tailgate instead of the traditional saloon boot. Performance-oriented design elements include flared wheel arches, a sculpted front bumper and a rear diffuser.

The concept showcases the company's "Magma" sub-brand, which focuses on high-performance luxury. Inside, unique green stitching and accents on the seats and trim signal its performance intent while maintaining the G90's focus on luxury.

Genesis states that the concept demonstrates the potential for its Magma performance philosophy to be applied to different vehicle styles. The automaker suggests that it represents a vision for future luxury estate cars, coupes and convertibles.

The production Genesis G90 is primarily sold in North America and is also available in select European markets, including Germany and Switzerland.
