To celebrate its tenth anniversary, Lynk & Co unveiled its debut GT concept car at the Beijing Auto Show. Named "Time to Shine", this two-door Gran Turismo concept hints at a potential revival of sleek, low-slung coupes in a market increasingly dominated by SUVs.

Measuring 4.78 metres in length, 2 metres in width, and just 1.33 metres in height, it is a striking addition to the brand's portfolio. Its classic wide-body GT proportions are finished in Apex Blue with yellow racing accents, referencing Lynk & Co's history in the touring car championship. Inside, it features a 2+2 seating layout with white leather and carbon fibre details.

A defining feature is the yellow '+' button on the centre console. Pressing this button lowers the suspension by 15 millimetres, extends the aerodynamic elements at the front and rear, and deploys the rear wing. The digital screens also fold away, enabling the driver to focus solely on the road.

Lynk & Co claims a 0-100 km/h time of 2.0 seconds and rear-wheel drive; however, the brand has not confirmed whether the concept uses an electric or hybrid powertrain. The company states that public feedback will help determine future production plans.

For European car enthusiasts, the Time to Shine concept comes as a welcome surprise after years of manufacturers focusing almost exclusively on SUVs, crossovers, and lifted hatchbacks, largely abandoning convertibles and coupes. This concept suggests that the brand may be considering a more performance-oriented direction for its next chapter. However, it remains unclear whether any production version would reach European markets.
